On Friday, February 27th, 2026, Rajendra Adhi Montessori School Terrace 9 was completely transformed into a vibrant sea of red and gold! From our Toddler and Kindergarten classes all the way to our Elementary students, the campus was buzzing with incredible excitement, happiness, and enthusiasm as we came together to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Seeing our beautiful students arrive in their stunning red outfits and traditional Cheongsams was just the beginning of a truly unforgettable morning! The Highlight of the Day: The Mesmerizing Barongsai! 🦁✨ If you had been in the room when the drums started beating, you would have felt the pure magic in the air! The absolute highlight for our students was the energetic and thrilling Barongsai (Lion Dance) performance. The children’s faces were priceless—eyes wide with wonder, followed by bursts of joyful laughter as the colorful lion danced around the room. The performers were so engaging, allowing our brave little ones to reach out, pet, and interact with the friendly lion. It was a beautiful moment of cultural immersion that left our students completely mesmerized and talking about it for the rest of the day! Seeing our beautiful students arrive in their stunning red outfits and traditional Cheongsams was just the beginning of a truly unforgettable morning! Creativity and Culture in Action 🎨🪭 Following the excitement of the lion dance, our students channeled their energy into making beautiful, hands-on lantern crafts. It was amazing to see children of all ages carefully putting together their bright red paper lanterns. The room was filled with proud smiles and excited chatter as they finished their creations! Seeing both the younger and older students eagerly hold their glowing red lanterns high in the air for group photos—with faces beaming with pride over what they had created—was an absolute joy and a beautiful picture of togetherness. The fun didn’t stop there! We were thrilled to partner with Dan+Dan to sponsor two fantastic competitions that showcased our students’ amazing talents: The Elementary Coloring Competition Our older students showed off their incredible focus and artistic creativity, bringing beautiful Lunar New Year scenes to life on paper! With their colorful pencils and crayons in hand, the children were deeply engrossed in shading their special Dan+Dan coloring sheets, carefully detailing every festive lantern and Barongsai. Once finished, their excitement bubbled over as they eagerly held up their vibrant masterpieces, flashing the brightest, most triumphant smiles for the camera in front of the Dan+Dan booth. The Kindergarten Fashion Show The runway was set, and our Kindergarteners completely stole the show! It was a colorful display full of adorable poses, bright smiles, and most importantly, soaring self-confidence. The crowd cheered as our little fashion idols strutted down the red carpet—some gracefully waving traditional paper fans, while others confidently struck cool poses in their red and gold outfits. We even had an adorable participant peek out from under a bright yellow lion dance costume with a huge grin! The children’s enthusiasm was simply contagious, making it a spectacular highlight of the day. More Than Just a Celebration The children giggling with the Barongsai, proudly holding their lanterns, and strutting down the runway, we are reminded of why we host these events. Every moment was a meaningful learning experience. We celebrated culture, boosted creativity, built immense confidence, and, most importantly, had so much fun together!
